SWIX SKI CLASSICS RULES AND REGULATIONS

Swix Ski Classics Total Prize Money 2013: Euro 150 000

Swix Ski Classics Champion men (Yellow Bib)

Is the main prize given to the male finishing with the most points each season in Swix Ski Classics. Last season's winner is allowed to use the yellow Swix Ski Classics Champion logo on their racing suits the whole following season, the logo should be placed on top of right arm.

Swix Ski Classics Champion women: (Yellow Bib)

Is the main prize given to the female finishing with the most points each season in Swix Ski Classics. Last season's winner is allowed to use the yellow Swix Ski Classics Champion logo on their racing suits the whole following season, the logo should be placed on top of right arm.

 

Swix Ski Classics Sprint (Green Bib)

There will be 2 sprints in each Swix Ski Classics race. First five male athletes over the sprints will get 20, 15, 10, 5 and 3 points. Total winner is the athlete with most sprint points after the Swix Ski Classics Final. Last season's winner is allowed to use the green Swix Ski Classics Sprint logo on their racing suits the whole following season, the logo should be placed on top of right arm. Swix Ski Classics sprint points are not calculated in the Swix Ski Classics Champion competition. If the Sprint and Champion competition is leaded by the same athlete, then number two in the sprint competition wears the green bib.

Swix Ski Classics Team

This classification is determined by adding the Swix Ski Classics Champion points from the teams best two male athletes, the best female athlete in each event and the total sprint points taken by the team in each event. The total team points after the season will decide Swix Ski Classics Team. Last season's winning team are allowed to use the blue Swix Ski Classics Team logo on their racing suits the whole following season, the logo should be placed on top of right arm.

 

Swix Ski Classics Youth Men: (Pink bib)

It is given to the best male athlete at age 26 or below. The age of the athlete is determined by the year the Swix Ski Classics final take place. Points in the Swix Ski Classics Champion are used. Last season's winner is allowed to use the pink Swix Ski Classics Youth on their racing suits the whole following season, the logo should be placed on top of right arm.

Swix Ski Classics Youth Women: (Pink bib)

It is given to the best female athlete at age 26 or below. The age of the athlete is determined by the year the Swix Ski Classics final take place. Points in the Swix Ski Classics Champion are used. Last season's winner is allowed to use the pink Swix Ski Classics Youth on their racing suits the whole following season, the logo should be placed on top of right arm.

SWIX SKI CLASSICS RULES AND REGULATIONS

Individual athletes and teams

  1. Swix Ski Classics Rules and Regulations rule in addition of FIS rules (ICR) Athletes must act in accordance to FIS (ICR) and Ski Classics rules and regulations.
  2. Athletes must be registered in a official Swix Ski Classics team and have a valid FIS-license in order to compete for Swix Ski Classics points and prize money.
  3. Teams and athletes must be registered at latest the day before the race on www.skiclassics.com in order to receive Swix Ski Classics points and prize money.
  4. Teams may consist of minimum one and maximum ten athletes, men and women included.
  5. Team License is 2013 free of charge.
  6. All athletes and team signed in must participate in the Swix Ski Classics Final Prize ceremony in order to receive prize money. If an athlete cannot participate in the Swix Ski Classics Final due to reasons beyond the athletes control certified by a medical doctor with document to the jury, her/his points will still be valid for overall results.
  7. Points are handed out according to points table.
  8. Team points are gathered from the team's top two men and top single woman in each event in Swix Ski Classics Champion competitions and the total Swix Ski Classics Sprint points received in each event.
  9. All Swix Ski Classics athletes must be available for media
    • Short comments for media on event day, prior to the start.
    • Team members and team captain must be present at press conference if they are invited.
    • Available for questions from media until 5 minutes after flower ceremony.
  10. Athletes are not allowed to change team during the season, and teams are not allowed to unregister athletes during the season.
  11. Each team participating in a Swix Ski Classics race must have a representative at the race´s Team Captains meeting day before the race at estimated local time 17.00.
  12. Swix Ski Classics athletes must use GPS device, if selected.
  13. Skiers and teams may collect points from all Swix Ski Classics events.
  14. Skier must finish the race within 10% of winning time in respectively gender in order to receive points.
  15. If more than one skier finish the season on equal points, the ranking from each event will decide the final season result list.
  16. Swix Ski Classics official pro teams must have a ski classics pro teamlogo on their homepage, hyperlinked back to www.swixskiclassics.com.
  17. Swix Ski Classics official pro teams must use ski classics common top menu on their homepage , if handed out by ski classics.
